Updated over a year ago
  • History refresh

  • Added Expand and Merge to Cohort Compare

History refresh

  • you will now see not only the recently executed by you Reports, but also any Reports you opened recently

  • in case you opened a Report more than once only the latest visit will be displayed

We hope this helps you navigate better through the insights generated in Kubit!

You will also notice that the currently opened Report is given a highlight in the History section:

Added Expand and Merge to Cohort Compare

Expand and Merge can be applied over the Cohort Comparison results in order to provide more clarity around the different behaviours between groups of users.

Merge Events into one

When Comparing Cohorts you can use Merge Events to collapse multiple events into one event group to be shown in the resulting table. Maybe you have 2 events which mean more or less the same thing or are fired in very close proximity so for the purposes of the current analysis it makes more sense to look at them as one. You can also give the merged event your own alias, here's how to do it:

You can configure up to 3 Merged Events.

Then notice how in the results instead of 2 records - one for Search Content and one for Mainlanding there will be just one - Find Content:

Expand Events to get more focus

Sometimes when defining a Cohort based on performed Events the events alone do not provide enough information. This is very typical for Page View or Action events. To help understand what is actually going on, you can include a Field to be shown alongside the event like this: Page View[$page_name], Action[$target].

You can configure up to 5 Expanded Events.

Here's a Cohort Comparison result, we have 2 Cohorts - A and B and we are looking at how many events of various types the users in these 2 Cohorts generate:

But what if we are interested in what shows each of these user cohorts are more likely to start watching? To answer this we can expand the Stream Started event by the Show Title field:

And the result would look like this:
