Tag your Events in Dictionary, Updated look for Filters and Dashboard Filter improvements

Updated over a week ago

Tag Events in Dictionary

In addition to adding descriptions of your events directly from the Kubit UI, you are now able to categorize your events to make discovery easier for your users. All of these actions can be performed in the Dictionary section of Kubit.

Tags are used as natural ways to group events into similar categories. An event can have multiple tags, think of it like adding a hashtag to a social media post.

Only users with Tag permissions are able to create or modify Tags. Kubit will assign Tag permissions to Admin and Governor roles. All users will see Tags.

Here is an example with some events:

    • If there is a Tag with that name already you can simply click the existing Tag

Add and Remove a Tag

In Kubit you are able to add or remove these Tags via the Dictionary page.

  • Navigate to Dictionary > Events

  • Click into the Tag column of the Event you want to add or remove a Tag on

Where Do I See Tags in Kubit?

Once you've applied your Tags to the Events available in Kubit your organization will see these as groups of Events in the event widget.

Now users can see your data grouped into logical tags and better communicate how this data relates to your use cases, features and KPIs.

Updates to Filter Widget

Previously creating a complex filter could take several clicks in and out of the filter selection widget. We've modified this experience in hope to make complex filter construction much more streamlined.

Show Dashboard Link Filters

When you build a Dashboard in Kubit we include the ability for other users to apply temporary filters to all reports on that dashboard. Now when you share that Dashboard link and a user clicks on the shared link they will see any Filters applied to that Dashboard.

Here is how you apply Dashboard filters:

And then share this temporary filtered version of a Dashboard with others on your team:
